Well it’s nearly a year since I got the 2-11 and time for my insurance renewal.

I am with CCI

There renewal was £774.99

This includes £250 excess, additional cost for taking the car abroad. Included 4 track days a year (1 in Europe if required)

I also got a quote from A-plan (they called me, as I went to them for a quote last year), £698.50, £500 excess, not sure about extra charge for taking the car abroad. no trackday.

The company that do all our corporate insurance with bought Pearts early on in the year, so I thought I would give them a try. http://www.peart.co.uk/

Pearts were £685, £600 excess (I don’t mind this), 5 track days per year (uk only), full home and roadside assistance inc Europe( I am with the AA and pay about £100 for this). 60 days Euro cover ( i have to let them know when I am taking the car abroad), this is good for me.
Policy is with Royal & Sun Alliance.

I was dealing with a guy called David Nelson, he was very good and was interested in the car and getting the right policy for me/it.

If you need to talk to him his number is 0800 9549774.

If you could please say I sent you, it would be appreciated.

Cheers

Scotty

Pearts have been trading for years and were at one time the Official Insurance Agent for Porsche GB and Porsche Club GB. Last policy I had with them was in 1986 (£900 for a Norwich Union drivers policy - Any Car/Bike - Fully Comp). The total insurance bill for the Boag fleet of three cars in 2009..... is less than that.
Insurance in most cases, seems to be an area where competition has resulted in the consumer deriving good value nowadays?

:cheers

If you have not renewed yet give Mary at Richard Egger a call on 01159850165, she knows me well. My renewal for N3 with four trackdays, one of them Europe would have been £280, but they have a minimum of £300.

Brian is with CCI, and he now has a fight with them as they will only give him £8,100 for his Honda S2.

I had talk's with there parent company about some sponsorship, so better keep them sweet.

If other people are looking for insurance please give them a try and let me know how you get on.
