Insurance for Elise

Post by zip » Sun Jun 26, 2011 10:49 am

Has anyone else had a hike in their insurance recently ? I had my renewal premium for both the saloon ( a 2003 Lexus IS200) and the Elise (a 2002 111S) the other day. The Lexus had gone up by 11% but the Elise has gone up by a wopping 35%. Our personal details have not changed and we have had no accidents, claims or convictions in the last year !!!!!

Any advice about who try to get a decent quote ?

Give Mary or Steve a call at REIS, but make sure that you tell them that you track your car and you have done several times. They specialise in this sort of Insurance. You have to be over 25.

Also try CCI as a comparison.

Thanks Tut. Do I have to say I track the car even though I don't. I think I qualify for over 25 being 56 ! Do you have a number for REIS and do you know what it stands for ?

Sorry Tut have found the no. for REIS on Google - they are both (RESIS and CCI) in Nottingham it would appear. So the main question still is do I have to say I track the car even though I do not ?

Little white lie, not sure if it is necessary, if you would like I will ring Mary tomorrow and clarify before you ring yourself.

No that's fine. Very kind of you but I think I can deal with it. Cheers.

You should also get a discount from CCI for being a member of SE.
If you've had any track tuition, it's also worth mentioning.
