Result. Now all we have to do is to keep the crashers away from REIS otherwise they will pollute our premiums with their antics :-)

I got the same letter today! Called CCI to get more of an explanation and even they seemed a bit miffed that aviva had changed the criteria. I'm 26 and have 7yrs ncb on the lotus. Time to give REIS a call then!

I resemble that remark having been with REIS for fourteen years.

It's all these new youngsters putting claims in. :D

yes I was the same.

Although i'm ok but Lindsay is a bit younger then 40 so they wouldn't renew  .

I will have a shop around when the car is mobile again in the new year.

Anyone know how long my no claims can be put on hold?

I'm over 40 didn't get declined but they still put my premium up about 40% even though I had no commuting, limited mileage etc the only way I could close to last years premium was to remove track days, limited to 3000 miles and no windscreen cover.
Surprisingly after a few quotes I got cover through Aviva direct (ironically!!) with my limited mods of Nitron's, exhaust and filter for about £200 less, no track days but commuting.

I've just realised that my renewal time passed last month and I received no communciation from CCI at all. Got a change of office notification from towergate in August so it's not as if my details got lost during acquisition last year. It's the weekend but I'll be chasing on Monday checking whats going on and making sure I get my 14 year NCB back. Alarmingly looks like I might have been driving without insurance. Obviously this is my fault for not checking but you do become acustomed to responding to renewal notifications.

Looks like a call to Reis is in my future after I sort all this out.

Curiously, CCI have sent my renewal reminder for January and new quote (pretty much unchanged since last year). Thing is, I'm still under 40. :scratch

Maybe it's only if you look under 40.

My premium with REIS with a S/C Honda Elise is basically the same as it would be with a K series engine.

They take it as read that you are going to have to upgrade other parts to cope with 300hp, so itemisation is not necessary.
