That time again......

Post by Simon82 » Wed Apr 29, 2015 7:44 am

Insurance renewal due on the Exige this coming month and CCI renewal quote came through the door as the same as what i paid last year.

Just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions of where to try for cover including trackdays? I'll give henderson taylor a try but other than that it seems options are limited or am i just not looking in the right places?

Any help much appreciated!

Simon

If you don't mind me asking how much is your quote?

I moved from CCI to one answer last year paid £595 for usual sports car/track day policy up to 8,000 miles - im 36, 9 years NCB and 6 points

The renewal is in and its up to £965

I have done the usual Confused.com check and can get a high street policy for as little as £350 but obviously no track cover, although Im not sure I will do any this year but it is always nice to have if you need it

CCI did the same to me a few years ago - cheap quote to get the business then try and shaft me the year after

Need to get on the phone and sort before the end of the week - hate insurance companies

Always try Mary at REIS, may not work out but worth trying. I have been with them for years, anybody that accepts me with 11 points with no increase in premium, and then carries on insuring my car when I have lost my licence for other drivers. can't be bad.

Interesting to see what will happen when I get it back in September with 6 points on it.

Hi Benny,
They quoted me £680 for renewal, 33yrs old, no points, 7yrs no claims, 6000 miles(i think) S,D&P only.
I don't have access to a phone just now which makes ringing round a bit of an issue, not sure i would get much cheaper with trackdays included and for this year at least i will need that cover. If it wasnt for trackday cover i could get change back from £300....quite depressing really but better to be safe than sorry!

Cheers

I would have been happy to pay similar as last year but a 60% hike is taking the piss

Time to get on the phone

I assume REIS, Henderson Taylor and CCI are the best bet for sport car policies ?

Just got a reply from Henderson Taylor and they are half the price of REIS renewal for the cup. Guess I'll be moving insurance company's next month then.

Can Henderson Taylor be contacted via e-mail or does it have to be done over the phone?

Was a messy one with the Rolfe last night :drink

Got sorted with CCI at £530 which I thought was decent with 6 Trackdays and 6,000 miles :D
