Anyone else I can try?
Most of the specialist companies have stopped offering commuting cover or close to average mileages.

In my experience if you are using the car every day you need a normal insurer

I had a quote today of £360 to insure the V6 for donnington.

Elise is now ready to go, don't know how it will pan out, 17 year old car, been off the road for a year, never been on track in 10 years......what could possibly go wrong :-)

I thought I was bad at £280 for the 211!

I'm sure the S1 will enjoy its new found freedom......or go bang! Hopefully it's not the latter! :cheers

Between that and your Capital Allowances it's looking like an expensive month Stu ;-)

I've asked for a copy of my insurance certificate for Frolic and its taking a while to get this. For Europe trips we are also supposed to email dates, countries etc etc which I wasn't aware of. I think I am supposed to get 6 in total for this year but I don't bother "wasting" them at Knockers. Hoping not to have to change insurer but it sounds like I might have to!

REIS is a limited number too and each extra day is pretty expensive. But they provide enough for the number of days I do.

I got five with REIS but was lucky for SPAZZ 2014 as my renewal was just before the trip.

On the other hand in 18 years I have never had to use one.

When we did Spazz I switched to Henderson taylor with the R8 and was £1600 for the year which covered the trip. At KH last time out I didn't bother with track insurance.

My renewal was about the same as last year, so ok, and I believe you can get a bolt on of another 5 track days for a very good price.

Baz changed I think, and also looked like a good deal, but can't remember the company.

Had a call from Matthew this week as my renewals due in January. They're declining to renew my cover as they now won't offer more than 4000 miles and won't cover commuting. Any suggestions on where to go? Up till now I've had 9000 miles, commuting cover, and 6 track days. Probably don't need as many track days this year but the miles and commuting would be useful.

I'd tried to get business cover but never managed for some reason so had to make do with commuting. Might end up with a standard road policy this year and just have a year off the track.

That's a shame, I have been with Matt since I bought the V6, and just bought an extra 3 track days as a bolt on, (£220, which is good)
I am sure a standard policy will save you a fortune Neil, think I was quoted £240:for the year from Admiral.
