Europa Insurance

Post by StiflerMR2 » Fri May 26, 2017 2:23 pm

Hey guys,

Trying to get some insurance sorted for a Europa S. Tried Henderson Taylor (who i normally use) but the under writers have declined as it will be parked on a driveway...

Does anyone have any good suggestions for track day included coverage?

Failing that i'll just do a money supermarket type of deal and sort TD cover for each event :(

Tried CCI?

That's who I am with, which includes track cover.

(that's why I think Mike will do fine, that and his lack of imagination).

Two negatives make a positive but only in Scotland do two positives make a negative - 'Aye right.'

I went with AIB through reading the lotus forums, ended up being as cheap as the big companies but I'd prefer to use a specialist.

Thanks Phil, I did try them but they wouldn't do trackday cover.

I went with REIS in the end at £480 with 4 TD's and Europe cover. Seems about the going rate, that's what I get for living in Newcastle ;)

Got a pleasant surprise this morning: Got my insurance reminder and my renewal premium has come down £80. That's before I've even phoned them up.

Thinking of just sticking with REIS as I still want some track cover. Are there any other insurers I should look at (Bearing in mind AIB and Henderson Taylor wont cover trackdays)?

Yup, you're right - gave them a call today. But they still wont cover me as the car is parked on my drive and not in a garage :(

Went with REIS again in the end - policy reduced and track days upped to 6. Result :)

Well done.

Privilege were good value for me this year but I don't need track cover just now.

Just moved from Aviva to Henderson Taylor on cost reasons. Mods, track cover, multiple drivers no hassle whatsoever for my S1 and a completely hassle free experience. Not sure I'll use much track cover but you never know. So much less hassle than every other company I called . . .

Also an HT fan here Fergus but they were well north of Privilege this year. Was sad to leave them - and told them so!

Their support during a big claim was impressive.

Back next year perhaps.
