That one made me laugh!

Got my renewal from Adrian Flux, £534  quite a bit more than last year and the car's hardly going up in value!! (1999 S1 valued at 9k, 33 years old, 6 years no claims, 0 points). Called em up an told em that was crap, so they says, erm... how about £475 and guaranteed to match anyone else's quote.

Thought that sounded ok but then tried moneysupermarket.com cause someone on here recommended it. About 10 insurers came out at less than £475 with the best one "More Than" at £345 with protected no claims and £450 excess. Funny thing was, when trying out the options, £1 less if I used the car to commute! Idiots!
Doubt I'll go with them but instead take that quote to AF an tell em to match it. Fingers crossed!

Try A Plan mate, they should be able to do you a good quote.

Try Greenlight too. Mod-friendly and includes commuting.

Well getting very close to my renewal so decided to call up Adrian Flux and tell them I got a quote from More Than at £345. I was expecting AF to tell me fek off, but instead they offered me a renewal of £342  so £192 off my original renewal quote! WooHoo !!
