Admiral always came out top for me, but like Paul says depends how young. If you are young its going to cost a lot no matter what company it is.

IIRC X7LDA is young, give him a pm
yup im 20......... and to be honest the best quote im getting it touching 5k..!! BUT, done a quote for when i hit 21 and it drops to 1.5k with Elephant. So might be your best shout!! Either that or Bell.co.uk are good!

p.s - im canceling my current policy when i hit 21 to go with Elephant and i've worked it out i'll have only paid 2.8k rather than the full 5 :D

Not just a hat rack

I got a great quote from tesco (£500) but also needed a tracker ended up paying £750 with A-plan,

I am 26 with 4 years NCB ungaraged.

Well i'm 26 and i can't seem to beat Tesco! I've tried another 3 recently but they either won't insure elises anymore.... or i'm too young!

Apparently 3 out of 5 elise drivers clain in the first year......

Let me know if you find anything better than tesco!!!!

I found elephant cheapest for the first year - aged 27 - 8years NCD.
Then they doubled the quote the next year!

Sorry. It was one week short of one year of ownership, but I'd already had a "year" of policy with Admiral (10 month accelerator thingy), so it doesn't count! :P

Admiral were cheapest for me first year (26 at time). Just got a great quote with Chris Knott.

A-Plan told me their best deals are for over-30s and I've never been able to get a competitive quote from them.

I found A-plan and a lot of the other specalists won't quote for under 25's when i called them. Think I paid £790 to elephant with 2 years NCD this year at the age of 24. I've always found with the admiral group that adding a 'responsible' older lady  brings the price down by a few hundered pounds.

I think i'll stick to Tesco for now... i pay £650 (5 yrs no claims) - although i need a tracker fitted if i want it covered for theft!
