Simon wins for the 2nd time.
So, given you were all in the same karts...Simon is the best driver out there? Just doesn't show it on track where a mistake could lead to the loss of £££
Well done Si!

And curiously, speed in these karts does not transfer to cars on circuit (or vice versa). I can set up competitive laps in the karts but not keep up with the same people (no names - they know who they are

) in the Lotus on the circuit.
And coversely some successful race car drivers struggle in these kart races.

the thing with karts is that they are very weight sensitive, and they drive differently to cars i.e brakes only work on the rear wheels.

Power to weight also has a big effect...but heavyweights can move around to change the handling of the kart more.
I was a bit miffed when I saw it's the pedals that adjust on the Raceland karts, the seat adjusts back and forward on the KH karts.
I think the new raceland karts are a little underpowered for the circuit in the dry (with me in them at least) . Maybe 2 secs slower than the twin engined jobbies? I was at full throttle for maybe 95% of the lap...only 3 braking points...
Much more fun in the wet when skill comes to the fore.

Unfortunately Nicola wasn't feeling too well. I, on the other hand, was raring to go after being up at 0630 then a run up to tuts and back which demanded full concentration.
I was drooling on the sofa by 9.30pm...
If I'd come to yours I doubt I'd have made it past 0130...

Excuse me - I was the eppitomy (sp) of a gentleman driver. It was only when a you past under a yellow that my kart lurched out of control
I think I might have been slightly further up the order if a bumped and barged a little more.
Cheers
