I have been running Windows 7 Beta build 7000 for a few weeks now, and found it a great improvement over XP and Vista. Installed the latest build yesterday 7077 which could well be RC1, so will check out any differences.

I am live on Win7 at home and will be shot by Sarah if I change it again, hmm need to find a spare laptop to play on.

Off to find the release notes for RC1....

I’d played with Windows 7 on work but took the plunge and upgraded my Vista PC at home to Windows 7 (just build 7000) last weekend. And wow what an improvement! Love all the new features, nice and fast and my PC is back to running quietly. Under Vista the fans were running on overdrive!
I rely on Media Center for my TV recordings etc and there are some great new features in it, found a few bugs using the Xbox as a media extender though, hopefully they will be fixed in RC1. But everything else works so well, loving it.
When I have more time and RC1 is out will def be reformatting and installing it from scratch. :thumbsup

Nice one, opposite for me, I cannot get it to step down my fans of CPU (Quad 6600). Tried the ASUS MB driver in vista compat mode and "'puter says no", ended up hacking the config file to pretend it was a vista box and got it on, then lost USB as a result and had to system restore.

I agree with some text I have read on forums "Microsoft plan on hitting this one out of the park".

Crack on then mate

If it's a feature you want and it's not gonna take a nightmare install, we're obviously happy to look at it.

If there is one that strips out the pics for iPhone users who don't have lots of 3G at work it would be good

You should be able to turn images off in our mobile browser settings? Not sure on the iPhone though.

User Control Panel
>Board Preferences
>Edit Display Options

Would do it but I guess you'd then have the same settings at home... :?:

There are a variety of things in testing in Simon's sandbox install at the mo, mostly centred around spam filtering. I'd assume the latest release is also part of that testing process.
