Lotus Breakfast Club
Re: Lotus Breakfast Club
Just in case you were wondering who the older, distinguished looking Gent was, he is Ian Stewart, ex le mans Ecurie Ecosse driver, who has just become the owner of a brand new Evora at the age of 82!
I think he has now just ousted Tut, as the oldest member of SE!!

Wish I could have made it Paul, but hopefully meet my new grand dad before too long. Is he coming along to SIDC?
There was only one pic showing for me. Who is the other oldish guy at the end of the table next to Mike? Did you go for a road run as well?

Re: Lotus Breakfast Club
Tut, no I don't think he will be at SIDC. Unfortunately I wont either, as off to visit Aussie Elises!!
Chap I think you are referring to is Allan Mathieson, owner of the light blue Evora.
There are 5 photos there, don't know why you can only see one?

Couple of my snaps below.

Sorry about the self-indulgence with the new addition to our family there - can't help it, frankly we had a riot driving there and back in MINI-convoy
Full album here:

Thanks to all at LEGS for setting up, great way to spend a Sunday morning.
I volunteered to find a venue for the April date - stay tuned.
Oh and Paul - can James have a hi-res of your pic of him please, it's a cracker

Sorry i missed it guys.
Charlotte decided she's rather sleep than head up!
Not that I'd have had a lotus to bring.
Must get the GT3 sorted for her for next time
Or get her Mum to look after her while the R400 comes out to play

Re: Lotus Breakfast Club
Hi Guys
Great to see so many cars at our LEGS Breakfast Meeting this month. Unfortunately I couldn't make this one but will be there in April.
We started this on http://www.thelotusforums.com/forums/in ... -scotland/ Scottish Regional section only a couple of months ago and have had 2 meetings at Powmill Milkbar, the first with the founder LEGS members Al. Hedgereley and bingoking. At the second meeting an additional LEGS member Ruadh08 was there and it was Paul who suggested Gloagburn and circulated it on SE, result 11 cars this month so big thanks to the SE'rs and LEGS members that were able to make it.
Watch this space for the April venue which Campbell has volunteered to find.
In addition to posting information on LEGS I usually PM all our LEGS members on thelotusforums.com when we have any outings so if you PM me your email address either on here or LEGS I can add you to my database. There are a number of SE'rs on LEGS already so why not pop over and add your name. After all we are all one big happy Lotus Enthusiasts Group in Scotland.

"Here for a good time not a long time"
Re: Lotus Breakfast Club
Well it would have been 14 cars but some were driving at a fair rate of knots and passed the meeting place and ended up in Aberfeldy great days driving.

That's some over-shoot Andrew!! Funnily enough we headed up that way (Pitlochry actually) later on, and came back via Sma Glen. Luvverly.
Next month
Currently looking like Craigies Farm just outside Edinburgh (near Kirkliston...not far from Forth Road Bridge). Need to have a chat with them first though.
Scotty - Spittal is a fantastic idea for a future venue...some special plans are afoot for May or June, I am told, but feel free to volunteer when the time comes

Re: Lotus Breakfast Club
Hello everyone,
I attended this meet with my friend Scott who own a 111s elise. I don't own a lotus myself but have always admired them. I am an active member of the 350z-uk club and have posted some photos of the meet on there - I hope nobody minds. They are not the best quality as they were taken on an iphone but thought you may like to see them.
Here is my car if anyone is interested - not sure if it will float many boats on here!

Re: Lotus Breakfast Club
Hi Cragus, it was nice to meet you on Sunday, and welcome to the forum! Nice car, but you might wish you had an Elise with the fuel prices rocketing the way they are!!
Hopefully see you next time as well.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.
