Re: The 2009 AMP3 Charity Trackday - Final Details Up!
Apologies for digressing (or should that be returning to the main topic)...
...My understanding is that briefing starts at 1pm & track time from 2pm.
Do passengers need to be there for the briefing? I'm hoping to get away from work at 12, in which case I should be there by 1, but if I'm delayed slightly (shouldn't be more than 15 mins) will I still be alright for pax laps (will definitely be there by 1:30 at the latest).
Looking forward to a fantastic day (regardless of the weather).

No probs. Passengers don't need a briefing - they don't need to know their way round the circuit - they may indeed keep their eyes closed

No chance. My eyes will be wide open.
But as for drivers needing to know their way round the circuit, is there a chance that some might get lost?

Passengers need to sign in at race control and get your armband, this will be upstairs I have been told. As long as you can get someone from knockhill to witness your signature it wont matter when you turn up.
I will have access to the PA system as well through the day so listen out for you names, probably your forum names for those I don't know or the ones that I do know but will be hilarious over the tannoy...

i think I will go and meet Sanjoy at work with a towel, think he will be needing it judging by the weather here in Dundee, his commute in the 340r is likely to be a very wet one!

Re: The 2009 AMP3 Charity Trackday - Final Details Up!
Aye....pishin' in down here in Inverurie too. Waiting for a wet cmurray to turn up in his 340R.....this should be funny!

Yes it was an interesting journey this morning, lots of warning lights at the side of the road and big signs telling me to be careful of the maaaaaaaaaasive puddles and lakes on the road. What is it they say about 38s and standing water ?Rag_It wrote:i think I will go and meet Sanjoy at work with a towel, think he will be needing it judging by the weather here in Dundee, his commute in the 340r is likely to be a very wet one!

Big thank-you to everyone involved in today. Track driving standards were excellent as always and this donkey went home very very happy after managing to progress his driving from from awful to mediocre !
Seriously though, that's the best trackday ive done and it's given me the bug again.
BBQ was excellent, a great spread from a generous host
Banter was well up to the usual SE standard, with some hilarious chat and no doubt some very sore heads by the time many read this. Was disappointed to not be drinking but I'm sure it will be worth it when i text mcape tomorrow to find out how he's feeling

Yep...I agree. My first time on the track in a Lotus....Colins 340R (Much appreciated!!) as my temp/head gasket was an issue(Starting new thread now to find someone in ABZish who can fix it). Nice slow drive back to Inverurie for me straight after the raffle but I made it.
Well done to all who organised etc.
