Nah Sanj - that looks too much like Jock7s
Well done Simon I
One minor dislike - when I click on a link (in this case BigD's vid of Cadwell in Gallery) it doesn't open in a new window - so I closed down that window as opposed to hitting the "back" button
Am I being a dumkopf?

The themes would only affect users that use them, Sanjoy could use his and you can use another.

You're not being a dumkopf, this has changed in phpBB3

Apparently to meet the project's goals of XHTML 1.0 Strict validation.
You can open links in a new window/tab by either clicking on them with the middle mouse button or holding down Ctrl and clicking on the link if you don't have a middle mouse button.

Thanks for the explanation - works fine - and now I know
Now that I've had a fiddle about with the new format, I really like it, seems to work smoother and be more user friendly, which is all good

Have a look here:

There are piles of phpbb3 themes there, I can install whatever everyone's favourites are. There's a very black one there called Monolith - see what you think.
Oh, and I've also installed a phpbb3 port of the old theme called subsilver2. It looks much but not exactly like the old board. Might be nice for those who miss it

You can change your theme in the Board preferences section of the User Control Panel.

Quite like Monolith, but prefer...'X-treme Style v3.0' or 'Black Pearl' personally.

X-treme Style v3.0 is pretty interesting, looked at making a theme then lost the will as refusing to put run a home dev server again.

Or by right clicking the link and 'open in new window'
The middle button thing only works in the latest Internet Explorer/other browsers that support tabs. Some of us are still on IE6 (forced on me at work, kept for girlfriends web testing at home - I use firefox at home anyways)

Been playing with Firefox for a month or so now too, quite nice. BUT do you find, if you leave it idle for an hour or two, it suddenly starts running away with memory resources and hogging the page file? Most annoying...

No, I've had the same copy open for days and it's using about 35MB of memory just now.
