Scottish Elise Rolling Road Day **Now with Pictures**

Post by Mikie711 » Wed Sep 10, 2008 2:30 pm

As mentioned on the other post Scottish Elise rolling road day on Saturday 18th October 9am till 3pm. Cost will be £45 per car space limited to 20 cars max. Will be held at CoachHouse garage in Dyce. The venerable Mr Gauld will be doing the runs on there brand new state of the art Dyno Dynamics 4 wheel drive rolling road. They will be laying on a barby as well if we get enough numbers.
Add your name to the list and we'll take it form there.

Mikie,

That was quick !

Looks like Mr G is creating a bit of a buzz at the workshop. I'm keen to see how he can fettle the ECU/Cams for some decent, linear power :thumbsup

Great way of removing the wad from your pockets

I was in today picking up the 911 so sat and had a chat with him. They are very keen to do club days and quite prepared to do Saturdays if they get the numbers. Obviously a rolling road is a considerable piece of capital equipment to invest in as well as been great for those of us the could use the services of one. Especially as it comes with someone that KNOWS emeralds and how to use a rolling road.
I just hope they get a coffee machine as I can see me spending a bit of time down there before the start of next years season, would hate to have to bring my own :thumbsup
At the end of the day it will have bee a good social meet as well as a chance to get your car on the rollers. No matter what level of mods you have done I'm sure you would want to know what difference they have made.
So bring your car, maybe meet some new friends and get it on the RR and find out once and for all, just think of the bragging rights :thumbsup
All welcome regardless of car make, model etc.

Mr momo,
you won't be disappointed, the emerald will make a huge difference to your fueling, pick up and make it free'er reving. Cams should also improve things a great deal. Never realised it was yourself till after you left. Caught me on the hop, not expecting to see anyone therre at lunch time.

I am up for the meet, for sure.

Have used Ricky for last 3 years wit hthe Caterham and he spent a fair bit of time dicking about with my programmable Lumenition ECU and has always been superb. Always incredibly busy though and seemed overloaded at times.

Not sure about the r/r session with the car though, I will just be disapointed and it will end up expensive (i.e requiring verniers and an emerald) Not something I want to spend right now.

Sounds like fun, I'll even slog it across from Inverness for this (cannot resist prospect of BBQ...)
