Shameless Charity Plug from erstwhile member

Post by craigieb » Tue Oct 21, 2008 12:56 pm

Howdy,

Yes I'm still alive :D and yes I know I haven't contributed to the forum in a looooong time :( My excuse is I've been busy getting my own company up-and-running and I'm delighted to say I start working for said company full time on Monday :D

..but that's not the point of the post. My mate Simon and I are travelling to Morocco on the 19th of November for a motorbike trip in aid of the SOS Villages charity so the point of the post is to tap you guys up for some cash  :D :thumbsup

We've paid for the trip ourselves so all the money we raise goes directly to the charity.

If you'd like to donate please do so through our justgiving site here: http://www.justgiving.com/longwaymorocco.

Hopefully I'll now have time (having given up the day job) to catch up with some of you soon. :D

All donations very much appreciated.

Cheers
Craig

Good luck with this trip Craig, I am very envious! I see you have done the BMW offroad course in Wales. I did it in May, and had a great two days, including writing off a R1200 GS!!

What sort of bikes are you guys doing the trip on, and what exactly dioes the trip involve?

Cheers

bloody hell  that's good going :D I fairly battered the gs that I had and it stayed in one piece!

We're riding suzuki drz400s in enduro trim as it's a mixture or trails, tarmac and sand. Used to have a dr so really looking forward to getting back in the saddle :D I've started a google map of the route which should give you the general idea: morocco trip

:cheers

Are you shipping/driving the bikes out, or do you get them there? Is this an organised trip, as part of a group, or are you just doing your own thing? Either way, it sounds fun!!
