FAO all SErs
As Tut & Verian announced TT2010 would be the last (well they did that before too  ), there were lots of SErs who probably thought the PARTY is all over!
But here is something for you to look forward -
Event - SPICE TOWERS
Date - June 2011 (exact dates will be finalised later)
Format - 3 Days (Knockhill Friday + Run & Dinner & Entertainment Saturday + Run & Lunch/BBQ Sunday)
Venue - To be Confirmed.

I missed to announce the event during TT2010, but please take this as a personal invite for the event and would love to see as many of you SErs & family/friends joining the PARTY.

Krishnan & Satya

Woop woop!

Now I just have to convince Katrina that the toxic frog (or similar spec/colour) is something that is really cool!

Although it is great news that Krishnan is looking for a replacement for TT, unfortunately it could not be hosted at Tut Towers, so I have asked him to edit that part.

I think it came about when he paid us a visit with an icebox of Cobra beers in tow, and after a few I mentioned that to him, but Verian said that 2010 would definately be the last. She is right of course, it was a bonus that she let me have another one this year. Tis better to go out on a high, we can not keep the weather for ever, it was accident free which is always a worry, virtually police free, and a five minute red flag at KH for a breakdown.

Despite that, if an alternative is worked out, I would be more than happy to help out with the planning and advice, built up a fair bit of experience by now.

A bold move, Krishnan, but I think you will get plenty support and if the catering includes some of your own fine fayre, I shall start clearing my diary for next June right now!!!

If memory serves, you're based in the North East as well? For venues to handle 100+ people, are there any of the grand castles that could do a deal for a night, or a friendly farmer with a f*ck off huge barn and a bit of spare field for the tents? I went to a brilliant Barn Dance somewhere just off the North Deeside road a few miles outside Aberdeen, many years back, and it was indeed a real Barn...straw bales to sit on, the works! Now that WOULD be cool..."Spice Towers...the Barnstormer" !!

Whilst Tut could probably help on routes as well, I'm happy to assist there if need be.

Roll on next summer. Although I guess we can also focus on enjoying this one first. The Solstice is passing as I write...

i reckon a hotel based event is the way to go. It does take away the personal touch, but it also saves on the tidying up :)

Big field, marquee & some portaloos. Or some form of bunkhouse?

Or as Neil suggests a hotel, perhaps one of the aviemore ones?

or get some lodges in aviemore?

there is a bit at the beginning of the main road which has a few lodges which means we could book out all of there!

Hiring a village hall might be another option? Aboyne - Banchory - Ballater?
