The SE web server will be down tomorrow from around 0845-1000hrs to accomodate some essential maintenance in the data centre.

Many years ago, I used to frequent a website with a chat room. The room was hosted (as a lot of things were then) in finland, but to them having cheap and decent internet. Anyway, the guy who run the server would pop into the room on occassion and say it'd be going down for a while. Turned out that his server room only had a couple of plugs, and it was a choice between his mail server, UPS or chat room server when he needed to hoover
