Scotty,

See that the next Lotus Cup Europe two races are both on Saturday 15 August at Donington - assume you're entered?

Might manage a quick trip down to view - it's part of a programme including Formula Two.

Anyone else considering this?

Qualy @ 9.15 , race 1 @ 11.45 and race 2 a@ 15.50

Shame the F2 guys will only be qualifying on the saturday.

Scotty,

Thanks. May well come down to give (non-technical!!) support - I'm at the opening of Edinburgh Festival on the Friday - could drive down after that to catch the Saturday races and maybe stay on for the Sunday ones too - wife away in Portugal that weekend - so free agent :)

Any view on what accommodation people are using for this?

Morning,

Just out of interest, what are your entry fee's like for the race's, both uk and european. Having watched the video from Silverstone last week it seems like a very competitive, 'cheap' form of circuit racing on good tracks and the possiblity of going into europe and endurance meetings(if i can trust my dad!) is very appealing . Always planned on going ciruit racing at some point but the thought of £20k completly disposeably income and the running costs of Caterhams or F3's meant it's a long way off from now. However, im presuming (probably wrongly!) that completely standard elise's/exiges on control tyres would require relativly little running cost. Or at least there wouldn't be costly engine/box rebuilds every season?(toyota engine's)

Any information you could tell me about basic running cost's and the events themself would be greatly appreciated.

Also, i spoke to scotty c at kames last year and you said you drove the car to all the events? Are you still doing this, and is this quite common?

Good to see that you have bought an Exige Stu, has it got a soft top roof kit with it?

Remember taking you out for a ride in N1 at Doune, and you said then that you would like to get one some day.

Yes, i only took me 5? years! I was definatly converted after that!

Meant to be picking it up tomorrow(if i get out of norway), then a blast over Glenshee i think to see the girlfiend in Perth. Whats glenshee like in a lotus, need to be wary of the bumps?

Intending on getting a few trackdays in so i'm sure i'll see you around, are you still Knockhills best customer!

No soft top unfortunatly, but it is one of the first things i'll be doing. I believe there easy to fit, i'll see how it goes without putting in the fitting for the center beems. Very happy with the car so far, has everything on it i want and it seem that it's been well looked after aswell.

Cant wait!

Stu

And how wet do you get when driving in the rain without a roof? I might brave it on saturday if the weathers up to it.
