Alford Sat 19/Sun 20

Post by tuscan_thunder » Tue Jul 15, 2008 12:24 pm

At last, the shi*roen should make its competition debut. Not got all I'd like to have done, done, but it should be ready to go.

Just a couple of bolts to change and a spanner and fluids/oils check to do.

Let's hope for dry weather...

If the car doesn't break (it is French and has been tampered with by me) I expect 5th out of 7 in class will be all it's possible to do.

(I'm car 10 btw)

Good Luck mate :thumbsup

Was hoping to go to this, to see what sprinting is like, but my arm is buggered and cant drive out there. So I'm left at home taking the cocktail of drugs the doc has gave me :(

I have problems: broke the gear linkage yesterday.

Kev, Saturday from 9:00am, practice runs all day. Sunday timed runs, start TBA on the Saturday. Be about 9:00am I would think.
Tuscan, good luck fella, hope you get it sorted.

It 'seems' to be sorted.

Whole linkage bit was knackered but it changes gear now.

How long will it last? Who knows!

My next concern is driveshafts....

See you all bright and early tomorrow!

Just got back from watching the practice runs today, good day out. Although the weather was bit changeable...still it made for some interesting greasy track moments I reckon. Think I got some decent photo's as well, loved the oversteery escort.
The dark blue exige looked very fast, it'll be interesting day tomorrow.
