Is it that time already?

Coming up to a year now since I penned the "One Step Beyond" report
http://www.team-scottish-elises.co.uk/ (subtitled "From Kick Boxer to Racer")
Was never sure how many folk got the title but at the time I thought what I was about to do was pure Madness (get it?)
So I'm back again at Forrestburn this Sunday - first time out at this venue all year. It's a totally different track to Doune, more technical I think and is more a test of skill than nerve.
Fingers crossed it will be a good event, preferably dry. Would be great to see some friendly faces along the banks
Cheers
Mac

Improved my time by 1.4 seconds so happy with that - good to see some fellow SE'rs enjoy a bit of clubman motorsport too - many thanks for taking the time to pop past.
Cheers

Well done Mac
T'was good to see you in competition mode. Sorry we were too late to see your runs up the hill.

Did you beat Iain Mac, I can't find the results online ?
I should also be at Doune and possibly Golspie (but on the reserve list for the latter) . . .
If there's an end of season Lossie we'll go to that too . . .
Had a bit of a mid season kidney problem . . . kidney be ar$ed doing ALL the events . . . but really looking forwards to the end of the season events now . . .

'fraid not, I'm still 2.5 seconds of the pace on the timed runs. Iain went faster in one of his practice but that doesn't count
I passed up a few offers to walk the track prefering to wait for Iain, who turned up at 9.45 (due a whole host of very valid reasons) so my first run was more of a sighting run, I then fluffed the top hairpin on the second run by turning in way to early and nearly had to select reverse to get round the corner (data logger showed that I got round at a speed of 11mph)
Timed runs were much better - and I think I could have improved more if we had had a third practice. 1st timed run was circa 52.8 - 2nd timed 51.4 I'm sure I could have got into the 50's if I had got another crack at it.
Going to give these ACB10's a whirl next year I think - talking the paddock at the weekend was that they could be worth upto 2 seconds a run.......not sure if that's the case, but hey this stuff seems to be a lot more "in the mind" than I gave it credit for.
I'll be ending the year at Doune - hoping to sort stuff out during the closed season so that I can attend more events next year.
EDIT: 55.36 : 54.84 : 52.80 : 51.49 - Ian McKenzie posted 52.80 : 49.46 : 50.02, 49.08

I have a set of ACB10's (last years - barely legal) if you want to try them at doune . . . you may fail scruitineering if they want to be ba$tards about it, you may not . . . let me know . . .

Cheers - Eoin Mac has offered me use of a set too - don't know if I want to change things up this later in the year. I'll be in touch.
should also have mentioned the JR broke the class record with his second run, then again with his third and fourth!! - Breaking the 40sec barrier with his last run.
Craig Nicol also beat the long standing A6 record too.
