Note the indicative costs of 3000 EUROS per event.

Would be good if Lotus copied the " factory race technicians" in the LOT Series given that you are unpaid development drivers :thumbsup

KTM launches X-Bow “Race” track car

Austrian firm KTM has launched the KTM X-Bow ‘Race’ track car - a GT4 Sports Light racing car produced with the experience of the X-Bow’s first season of professional motorsport in Europe. The X-Bow claimed three top spots in the European GT4 Sports Light series and recently won the “Vehicle Development of the Year” award.

Powered by a 240bhp Audi 2.0-litre TFSI engine, the X-Bow ‘Race’ features 30 modified or new components over the road model and costs 82.900,- Euro ex-works and excluding taxes. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in January 2009.

The mid-engined sports car can hit 62mph in 3.9 seconds and 100mph in 8.5 seconds before going onto 137 mph. Changes on the X-Bow Race model include race-tweaked suspension and brake systems, Kevlar side panels, carbon-fibre windscreen extension for telemetry equipment installation, racing fuel system with quick-fill compatibility and an extended rear bumper. Optional "PowerParts" like such as the carbon-fiber tonneau cover and Kevlarstrengthened front panels are also available.

KTM says the typical cost of running a X-Bow in GT4 come to about 3.000,- Euro per race. In 2009 KTM will launch the “KTM X-Bow Super Sport Cup” – a special league for all owners of a KTM X-Bow ‘Race’ operated through existing racing series. Last but not least there will be the “KTM Customer Racing Service” which allows customers from all over the world to race their own X-Bow ‘Race’ in professional-level motorsport, with support from a dedicated team of KTM race technicians.
