Boyndie Sprint 19/20th sept 66.16 sec video!

Post by fd » Mon Sep 21, 2009 1:51 am

Great weekend of Sprinting up at Boyndie this weekend, a little cold and the track never really rubbered in, lots of people including myself on very tired tyres after a long season which doesn't help (1200 quids worth of tyres for season this year) . . . got to within 6 hundredths of my PB but that was as close as I could go . . . the car gets less and less calm as the tyres fall off the edge and stop working . . . which makes for some interesting driving . . . but not fast . . .

I think this run was 15th overall out of a field of 60 odd . . .

Yeah, it's a cr@p run, locked the front right on entry to the infield turn 3, you can see the steering input fail to do anything . . . old, cold tyres are sooooo disappointing . . . and that's the rub . . . some fresh rubber and I would have taken some more time . . . money is everything . . .

Ha, out paced by a 10 year old girl in the wet , with only 6hp :thumbsup

Team Barny Racing is me, Steven is no67 who she passes when he is sorting his carb out (right hand of the wheel fiddling with the thing). He then sorts it, passes her and spins at the bus stop, plonker.
She then gets passed be her cousin and fellow Barny driver Danny Scott who also bins it at the same corner, Girl power  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tL5aG_ILD50

Also a clip of Steven (67)and Chloe (A) at S1 larkhall this year. Steven started in 9th, was doing Ok, but then got punted of 3 times in 1 lap, after which , he gave up. Great racing at the front though.

Keep up the good work Fd, Are you leading your class this year?

Looked like there was a lot of concentrating going on, I guess it is a very short blast and precision counts.

I drove around there in the Exige on Friday after Karting, it seemed a lot tighter than you made it look in the 7. I was just doing a demo for someone interested in buying a Lotus.
