Alford Sprint this Sunday 17th July

Post by kevham » Tue Jul 12, 2011 9:18 pm

I see Mikey and AlanG are on the entry list for the sprint at Alford on Sunday. I'm taking up my very slow Peugeot 205 'Gaulouise Smoker' for a laugh. Anyone up in that part of the world going along for a watch? If so, come and say hello.

I'm car no. 37 :D I expect to be last in my class as usual. Bit of a change from last year when I was second in class at Alford. :(

I did Boyndie (66.6 Secs) but wasn't a busy sprint and I didn't know anyone, so glad to see more have signed up for Alford.

Hope to get along to cheer. :D

Alan, I checked back my old record for Boyndie was 73.51.
OK that was a different class - boggo Elise on road tyres but 7 seconds is a loooooong time, puts that 66 into perspective. Proper quick. :thumbsup
btw see your car was listed as Superlighter.... :damnfunny

Yeah, think I sneaked it 'cos you could barely stand up let alone find the pedals.
Lovely day though, ice creams and all the ladies supporting. :thumbsup

Yep, main problem though was when I found out that you had to clean the air filter more than once a year.

Went to Wallace and found out that I had 160hp instead of 220. Having said that I had probably reached my peak, and you were moving up on yours.

But, I would still dick you.

Cheers :thumbsup It's a good car that suites me and my flat out/not a clue driving style.

If you come along, you can give me some pointers as I never take the same line twice.

A wee video that someone took of me and the EVO.

The "i've only got 160 bhp story" ..... in that case. The Caterham only has 120 bhp, used road tyres, soft springs and I only have one hand that works.
