Post by ClarkyBoy » Thu Sep 15, 2011 1:04 pm

last hillclimb on the scottish calander this weekend at doune, its a british event so alot of entries and great competition,

Cannot wait to go, I have had such an enjoyable season, made loads of new freinds and met some SE'ers that i had only spoken to on here before, if im in the UK next year i will be competing again for sure - maybe move up with the big boys in modified...

Might see some of you there this weekend - i will be the one checking for oil leeks that im being accused of... again

On the saturday night i will most probably be :beer :beer

Doune - this weekend (17th+18th)

Post by ceejam » Thu Sep 15, 2011 2:36 pm

I'm competing in my Elise this weekend aswell, as is Benjymoto in the VX220.

Should be a good weekend, I'm staying onsite in my Father in Law's motor home so will be partaking in the Haggis supper and a few shandies on Saturday evening.

How late in the day do the runs tend to go on to at Doune? Might be one to pop in for a watch on the way back from KH...

Will try to bear in mind for Sunday, esp if weather is dry.

I'll be there also, looking forwards to a dry Doune, but I suspect that will have to wait until next year looking at the forecast :-( . . .

Last weekend was a wet and oily Golspie (oiled track stopped the competition for the second time this year and I think a few won't be back for while as it's too far to go for a wasted day) . . . still got one properly dry run in with no oil and a new PB by a couple of seconds, really catching my targets for the year now even after a month out of the car, next year on a grands worth of fresh slicks should be interesting ;-) . . . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgJgaaAe8J0 . . . smooth, easy and quick . . .

Next weekend is the last event of the year - Boyndie Sprint . . . should be a good party on Saturday eve ;-) . . . but we have to get through this weekends party first ;-)

Have a good one guys. I decided to give Doune a miss and have a go at Harewood this weekend. It's a couple of years since I was there and since I did Doune twice this year already I thought a change was in order.
Weather doesn't look good for that either.

That's very true - although the armco at the last corner has a tendency to claim quite a few victims.

Will do - there's a few other Scots entered too inc. the Xoomspeed westfield lads.
