It does bang and pop a bit when he comes off the throttle ... although as they are no doubt all working on some scheme to force hot exhaust over some wing somewhere or other, I expect the strange bzzzz noise to return in all the corners.
The one year we went to monaco we had seats on the back row of the grand stand that backed onto the end of the start/finish straight just around the point where they brake for Sainte Devote. At the start of the race the whole pack arrives there at the same time pretty much. The explosions from the exhausts were so violent that it was deafening, even with ear plugs firmly inserted, and it felt like somebody had punched you in the stomach. Unforgettable ...
Cheers,
Ro
P.S. Company car? You must be joking ... you have seen our office! We're lucky to get a company pencil.

I do remember the McLarens sounding amazing in Montreal (pre-2003), back in one of the DC years - just properly exploding up the next straight - sounded like no other car on track.
That (Lewis's new shed) actually sounded hugely civilised in comparison!
