Time Attack Anglesey in Car

Post by gambler » Thu Aug 16, 2012 12:41 pm

Here is a couple of laps from Qualifying on sunday. Used the wrong tyres, a soft compound Kumho which just melted and gave no grip. Managed to squeeze a 1.16 out of them.

Which track config, Scott? Wondering if I should watch for tips ahead of visiting Anglesey in double header track day in November :-)

That was the Coastal circuit Campbell, we also raced the GP circuit the day before, I will post up the video of that soon. Lines will probably be different in my car to yours though. The video will give you an idea of the layout though. Both configurations are great fun and it is a very abrasive surface, plenty of grip available

IIRC, it's Coastal we'll be using actually. Look forward to perusing all vids over the weekend all the same, ta :-)

never forget my first lap ever at Anglesey. Driving up the hill on the back straight, coming up to the corner at full pelt, just to realise the corner went left and not right

Oh dear! You need to shave off a lot of speed at that hairpin because you are approaching it at 110-120mph!
