Ever faster . . .

Been out of the racing car for nearly a year following a badly broken wrist/arm which has taken a long time to get back to 'good enough' to manhandle the wee racing car . . . anyway my titanium bits are blending into the past at last so out again at Doune and Forrestburn . . . Starting to get somewhere at Doune, certainly getting into the downforce zone which is interesting as you just cannot believe the grip . . . then there's Forrestburn, never had the racing car there and hadn't driven there for 5 years I think, but I always enjoyed it in the Caterham . . . turns out it's even more fun in the single seater . . . being very undulating with lots of camber changes really makes the car lively which certainly wakes you up in the morning . . . New PB's at both venues, not quite back to where I need to be, lack of seat time and those broken bones in the back on my mind slowing me down . . . must be getting old.

Very different tracks, Doune is all about blind faith and high speeds, over 100 in 3 places in this car . . . Forrestburn is surprisingly brutal in this car, very stiff, very grippy, no high speed stuff really just acceleration and cornering ability. Should be able to take a second off these runs next year . . .
Now for some _really_ fast driving . . . GWR Raptor, 280Kg car (IIRC), over 400bhp with a supercharged 1400cc hayabusa, ex F1 designer, made in Scotland . . . terrifying . . .

Well done! Onboard footage is usually quite underwhelming, but your videos are just outstanding, what a talent!
The red car...that video is in fast forward, yeah?

Sorry to hear about your smashed arm. But it's not exactly holding you back now.

Perfect Weather FD
As usual , I get butterflies watching your VIDs of Doune.
Huge amounts of bravery required on that particular track.....at that speed

Awesome stuff ... I wouldn't like to clip the grass in the open part of the circuit ... looks like it would be instant roll fest!
Cheers,

Usually cars spin on the latter part of meadow then run up the hill and into the trees at the top . . Probably as bad as a roll . . I hear rumour that some new barriers may be mandated on meadow next year for this reason . .

I think the barriers would be more confidence inspiring ... then again guaranteed $$$ if you hit them!

Great results Fergus, you have come a long way since we were competing at the same time.
Remember my first time at Doune, first two runs took East Brae way too fast and plowed through the undergrowth, but still got a Class win.
