I think they should have spent the money on the engine...

I like that.

S'pose they need to try "go-faster" stripes, not much else seems to be working for them!

Hmmm maybe I should have done a dyno run with my stripes and one without...

Well at least the car looks good even if it is dog slow :)

Any bets on how long it will take for McLaren to win again? 2017 at the earliest I'd say.

A good question. If Honda react to embarrasment like Honda F1 used to, perhaps they won't win until they get another engine deal - if Honda react like HRC (MotoGP) they'll be winning next year...

Honda's more recent F1 history isn't too impressive. Hopeless with BAR, moderately less hopeless as the Honda works team until they spent squillions building a championship winning car, and then pulled out before it had turned a wheel leaving Brawn to take all the glory.

Would be a real shame if Alonso's career fizzles out without another win. His talent deserves at least a couple more championships I reckon.

Not even that impressive looking further back in history. Best forget their 1960s efforts, then when they were dominating all in the 80s with their V10, Old Man Sochiro decided to throw it away and make a heavier, thirstier V12 for 1990 because he wanted to emulate Ferrari.

Contrast that with the MotoGP HRC outfit who consistently make the class of the field and on the occasions that they are caught napping technically, usually come back the next year with something that steps the game on another couple of years (seamless shift being the latest thing that it took Yamaha 3 years to catch up on)

Staggers me that they come from the same parent company.
