I don't think they look like amateurs. It is a shame that they are having to do the Honda power plant development so publicly.

By the sounds of the article, McLaren have a pretty decent chassis. It did mention that they need to develop more down force, but,in my opinion, that comes back to the power plant... bear with me.. if they have more power then they can run more down force.

Do a rover conversion?.. nah... I think the lump in my wee Fiesta would be good, it's a 1.6 turbo and has about 200BHP. Okay, it's not a V6, but it can be driven for hours at a time without blowing up, and although down on power from the Mercedes F1 engine,it probably has more than the honda....

Hahahahaha... that old chestnut! I'm in the rover camp but only on the basis I could never afford a Honda Elise.. and the rover fuel economy and price of parts is negligible, new engines are ten a penny hahaha... McLaren can prob afford the Honda so stick with it, they just need Allan Gourley to tune it! Besides it's a great package, it's just the sh*t drivers they have

They need Scott Robson in the driver line up, that'll free up some cash for an RBC manifold and Gourley to fine tune the map :thumbsup

I got this!!

I like your thinking mark [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]

Maybe Honda can make a lighter better engine than the rover but just don't have the time to do it just yet
S1 Elise - Shed spec
330d - Dog carrying spec
640d - Grown up spec
Astravan Sportive SE - Supervan spec
