We move house on the Friday before RDSF so the updates to our cart are going to be very limited.
Just do what Lotus do. Paint job, a couple of little changes and claim a few extra seconds have been gained on the downhill course. New costumes and put the beer and soft drink on ice. Job done!!!

Ours is the same base chassis (a la Elise family) but with uprated wider rear end (a la Exige V6). So I guess you could say we are doing just that, Steve!

Ok, just remember it's aimed at kids, this is not the Red Bull Soapbox Challenge ;-)

Also - request from our Team Principal - can there be some marshalling at any "obstacle" this year to stop spectators making chicanes tighter or ramps higher! Ta!

How is the joiner getting on with the Loop de Loop Clarky?

Not to worry Campbell, the route offers 2 options, the jump line and not the jump line, so its up to the driver which one they take.

One of the actions from last year was to better police the obstacles - all in hand.

That will be a good improvement to stop the course tightening like it did last year. Marking bale positions on the ground etc :thumbsup

We've stripped back the rear of Mk1 and now have a draft no-weld solution for installing the bmx fork set :thumbsup

Work halted for the weekend due to end of term shenanigans but hope to cut some trial brackets and x-members early next week.

Rear subframe dismantled tonight and measurements taken for new x-member to carry the pair of BMX forks.

Hope to have a running prototype with temporary parts by the weekend. Big ask...but time is marching on and workshop opportunities are scarce!
