Looking to get from near Stow to South Edin for work each day. About 20 miles one way. £2000 to spend. What sort of diesel car should I be after?

My old audi 80 avant if your not too fussy on looks/interior trim etc.
It's a bit rough but you could use the other half of your budget to getting looking/handling better
