........for three Uni students who should be able to do it for themselves, but find it all too complicated.
Clare has setup a broadband account with TalkTalk for the flat, the info pack and hard wired modem router have gone missing in the post, so I ordered her a wireless ADSL2 router, and got her user name and password for her over the phone from TT.
However she can not therefore use the TT CD to configure, has to go through 192.168.1.1, and although I have talked her through the configuration, it is not working out.
Could any kind IT knight in shining armour in the vicinity possible pop in in the near future and help them to sort it out?
Phone numbers are 0131 6629513 and 07903 988861.
Cheers

Cheers,
Robin

Robin
Clare just called back to say that she had just gone through the set up menu again, and was now connected.
So not a complete dumb blonde.
She had also said that "I bet Robin offers to sort it out" when I told her that I had posted on here.
Many thanks

C'mon Tut, you KNOW the answer to that already! Remember, the ONLY thing Jedi Master Robin can't do is play golf

Tut,
Glad it's sorted (saves me schlepping over there if nothing else!).
I don't think I've driven N3 yet, have I - nor N1 since the rebuild ...
Too much power for me, anyway
But, if I do make it to KH on the 24th I might give it a whirl
Cheers,
Robin
