Don't buy an iPhone if you rely on the camera on your phone for anything. It's a bit poo.

Other than that, I can't fault it. Don't get one here though... £279 and a £35x18month contract? No ta.

Everyone knows somebody who pops over to the states now and again. £200 with no contract from AT&T stores at the current exchange rate. I sold my iPod video for £100 to fund it and popped my existing O2 (cheap contract) sim in, so really only paid £100 to get my hands on one. I'd have to say, anyone who does buy an iPhone for full UK price tomorrow will still not be disappointed.

To answer a previous question, I'm pretty sure they work on any network. The unlocking process couldn't be easier... it's just a program you install and run - no need for cables or electronic hackery.

Only one problem with it so far... the headphones!

Attention amp3 crew There's a huge market to be tapped here:

The headphones that come with the iPhone have a wee built in click-to-talk mic on the wire which you can use to answer calls. Handy, and less wankery than a hands-free kit. Also, the 3.5mm jack has a very slim casing to fit into a recessed socket on the phone. The headphones supplied are obviously pants, but because of the jack casing size and the nice clicky-talky mic there are no aftermarket alternatives in the UK shops. I kid you not there is a killing to be made importing some "Compatible with iPhone" alternatives, but nobody over here (not even the applestore staff I spoke to) even realise than 99% of headphones won't fit!

I even decided to lose the clicky-talky feature and just buy some headphones with a slim casing round the 3.5mm jack. No luck. The only ones which fit are Apples own, and they suck. When the rush hits, there will be a lot of iPhone users desperate for a headphone upgrade. There are plenty in the states which fit the iPod. There are some sh*t adapters too, but no UK suppliers of these yet that I can find.
