Nope, twas the 27th January 2007 after one too many Laphroaigs.......

"Please note, this is just a feeler. There have been lots of enquiries as to whether there would be a TT or a MexyT this year, but with no decision.

My own view was that after doing three TT's, they went so well that it was probably as well to stop whilst we were still ahead. However, believe it or not, Verian said that if you really would like to put one together again, before they stick you six feet under, then go ahead.

I know there will be lots of interest from SE, but if I went ahead, I really would like to see some of the originals from down south that did 2001,2002, 2005. I still have all the original tt group members, so will post to them.

Format would be similar, but I think that last years was better as regards the four hour session at KH ending at 1700, then heading North. I would book the Isles of Glencoe Hotel, then probably take in all the west coast roads that we did not do last time, and leave out the Islands.

Saturday would be a run ending at Old Deer, then the usual format of everybody here for dinner and a pissup, then off again on the Sunday run.

The Saplinbrae Hotel over the road has opened up again, so along with the local B&B's and Hotels there is no problem with accommodation for those that do not crash out here.

If it went ahead, I would organise everything, we would lay on dinner and piss up as usual on Saturday night, would love to get Mossy the pig again, but not sure if he is still in business.

Whatever we organised would be at cost, as would be KH and the Hotel. It would be in May, avoiding a Holiday weekend for the tourists that pollute our roads.

However I have not even checked with KH as to whether there is a Friday available in May, as it makes more sense to see if there is any interest here first.

For those of you that have not been along before, 60-65 cars are feasible at KH on the track, which with passengers works out at around 90 total for the weekend.

As I said, just a feeler to see if the interest is still there.
