For Sale My Yellow 1997 S1 Elise.

Listed as Cat D, accident not caused by me, damage appears to have been to the right front but was only panel damage.

New In the Last 4 months:

Nylatron Bushes All Round
All 8 Ball Joints
Motorsport Uniball Toe Link Kit
Elise Parts Front Adjustable ARB
ARB Drop Links
Refurbished Front and Rear Brake Calipers
Braided Brake Hoses
Team Dynamics 1.2 with Yokohama A048R alloys
Rear Motorsport Diffuser
Driver and Passenger Elise Parts Carbon Fibre Seats
Driver Willans Alloy Harness

Only done 1000miles since.

The Car:

118bhp
Elise Motorsport Front Clam
Generic Black Rear Wing (Nothing to do with me was on the car when I bought it)
Spax RSX Adjustable Suspension

It is chassis number 897 so as with the early ones it has the usual leaking roof problem.

I'd used it as a track car during the summer and replaced everything on the suspension at the end of august, however due to financial commitments I must part with the car The car has got the usual track wear and tear in the form of stone chips and the like on the front clam, and a scuff on the rear by the elise badge.

The MOT was done at the start of November and it is taxed till end of April.

More pics, especially of the seats/interior are available on request.

I like the huge Nitron sticker even though it has Spax
I wouldn't really call it a shed tho, it's a cat D but it looks in much better condition than a lot of cars you see on track.

Still a CAT D...to throw in a Honda/Audi would be a huge waste of money....

A CAT D can very often mean sod all in real terms, untill it comes up for sale, when it will always sell for lower than market.

However it can often be just minor clam damage as in the one that I got for John Duthie, or Scottys would be similar if they write it off.

It is a good oportunity to buy a car for well under its book price.

Hard to understand though why it has all the bodywork mods and upgrades on a standard 118hp car.

Maybe had a VHPD in at one time, just whipped it out and dropped in a boggo to sell it on.?

When Shoomers engine expired, he could have taken the easy option and put in a boggo but was lucky to get Scotty's old engine.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

May well be cat D via the front end, hence the motorsport clam, then the guy though 'this looks daft with that front and a normal rear' hence the stupid wing.

Looks a bit silly in my opinion (dislike the wing, stickers and for that matter motorsport clam!) Nice colour and wheels though, and nice price!
