If this isn't your only car give Heritage a call. Very competitive for me (38 mind you) and also cover track days as long as you are a member of the respective club.

I can't even remember what I pay but know that it was only £40 more expensive than the cheapest quote but with the added benefit of trackday cover.
Club membership sounds like a good idea to get trackday cover and possibly lower insurance costs. Is there a club you'd recommend i.e. Scottish Lotus Owners Club or something similar?

I'm with Elephant where the prices match their name. Might have a look at A-Plan etc next time I'm due to renew.
Lotus Elise S2 - Bog standard spec
Aprilia Tuono 1000 - Nutter spec
Mazda Mx5 - Hairdresser spec

I am a member of:-

SIDC - Subaru Impreza Drivers Club - 4-6 Trackdays available a year?

AROC - Alfa Romeo Owners Club (Scottish Section) 2 Knockhill Trackdays a year.

GMSC - Glenrothes Motorsport Club - A few opportunities a year

LoT - Lotus on Track - Squillions of opportunities a year although none in Scotland.

None of these clubs cost more than £30 for a years membership which then gives you discount on trackdays not to mention the comfort of your trackday insurance.
