Anything goes in here.....

I don't pay too much attention to much attention to the invoices, but the labour rate and time charged for most jobs seems reasonable. To be honest, I'm just happy to have found somewhere to leave my car knowing the work will be done properly, without damaging the car and without having to worry about someone taking it out at lunchtime to rag it along the bypass... maybe that's just Vauxhall dealers though

Andrew mentioned someone had asked for a quote to replace the heater matrix. He's not done one on an Elise before, so may have based the estimate on the VX... which has a huge servo and ABS hardware above it, and it's a real pig to remove, never mind fit a replacement.

It might be worth giving him a call to discuss. I think they only charged 3 hours labour to fit Lotus hubs, fit Yokohamas to my Speedlines and mount the wheels... when originally he'd expected it to need a full day.
