No probs Lewis...

Steve, I reckon you're right on the money with the TT260 reputation thing.

Perhaps I should just keep it and continue to enjoy it on the few days I get.

Correct and you also risk the post being deleted or moved. I realise the car's been for sale for a while (and saw the posts on SE1) so understand why you posted in general but if we didn't have the classifieds the general section would get full of ads pretty quickly. So one suggestion would be to maybe post a bit more often and stick a line in your signature linking to your advert and each time you post your ad gets a little more exposure :thumbsup

Catch-22 Simon!

If I had time to use the car I'd have the time and the occasion to post on SE2 but I'd also not feel I should sell it

Incidentally, this post on General chat is not the hard-sell angle it seems to be taken as. It took me several years to find a low-miles TT230 for sale, despite having wanted one since Turbo Technics first started producing them. I ended up finding out about this one through other channels despite it being on SELOC classifieds.

If anyone wants it, then you know it's available. If I get no interest then I'll probably just ship it off to Aurok for a set of Ohlins Road and Track to be fitted and just hang onto it.

Not to sure about that?

I think he was right to post on Genral, not everyone looks at the classified and it is something different.

I can see why we don't have a reply option in the Classified but its brought up a good few points that might help Callum sell his car. Its also educated some of us (including me) that thought all TT engines were time bomb's

Good luck with the sale.

£2K plus a free set of OZ wheels/A039s

Might sound nuts but I reckon anyone on SE will be a serious enquiry and not your usual PH tyre-kicker.

Right, just to be clear to everyone, *I* encouraged Calum to bring this back to the group's attention. He's not exactly done any hard selling on it, and has never abused this forum (or anyone on it either, AFAIK!).

I never thought of the strategy Simon's suggested above, but there you go.

Calum, best of luck with the sale, we all know what is like trying to punt a car to make way for our next big thing.
