Haven't really been keeping up with forum stuff lately... it's a bit hectic in my 'work' world these days...

Anyhoo... goes without saying... if Sir Tut of Tutdom needs a hand with anything, just stick me down for it and tell me about it later... :thumbsup

Just hope the weather is better for the speedfair weekend than it was at KH today.... group prayer session anyone???

Cheers,

Dave.

Thanks Lachlan.

We are on track from 1800-2000, with sign on and briefing at 1700. Just drive in and park next to any other Elises as I do not know yet where the briefing will be held.

Mandy wrote:Well just finished cleaning for the day - totally fecked!!!

So far:-
Washed
Paint deep cleaned
claybar
deep shine polish

still got all of the inside to do but that'll be another day. :D
Well I can safely say UJI will be looking like the poor relation compared to that Mandy, well done. Of the long list of concours jobs I'd planned to do on the car, she'll be lucky if she gets a wash and zymol polish TBH, although I do hope to restore the soft top. The bugs under the headlamp covers will have to stay, sadly...!

Anyway, it's the taking part that counts eh.

See if you can find a couple of hi-vis vests or jackets for a laugh...I've got one already ;-)

Oh, and Tut, do you need the Scottish Elises Collective Club Traffic Cones bringing up there?!

For anyone looking for a flavour of the event, click here:

http://www.knockhill.com/?utm_source=Co ... gn=classic

A little cheesy towards the end but gives the message that this is an important meet and quite a stage for Scottish Elises (shame the KH main site blurb only really bangs on about all the Ferrari celebrations etc though!)

Good idea Campbell, have not seen our cones for years.

Was it Crail that we bought them for?

I might investigate bringing up the Manifold Marquee.
Could be used as a base for SE Peeps?

Scott

Are you still planning on bringing your Marquee?

Now for the bits where I need a Secretary.

I need to put the .doc info files out for Friday, normally sent as attachments on S_E1 in tt yahoogroups. However almost all info so far that I have posted and has been read is on here.

Am I correct in thinking that everybody in the Speedfair Database will be on tuttowers@yahoogroups.com as I had to approve everybody, so I can send out a mail with the attachments as I have always done for tuttowers?

The initial blurb I will put in here as well.

"I will be attaching the three forms required for KH on Friday, with many thanks to JohnS for allowing me to adapt his own SIDC forms.

It saves time on the day if you could please print out and fill in the Indemnity and Scrutineering forms, preferably double sided on a single sheet of A4. Each driver must complete their own copy of the indemnity form.

Please remember:

A) Bring your driving licence,
B) Wear a long sleeved top.

*** DRIVING STANDARDS ***

Anyone driving dangerously (specifically overtaking around corners or under braking without the co-operation of the car in front, OR failing to let faster cars pass quickly) will be black flagged and given a warning. If you get black flagged a 2nd time for the same offence, then we'll have no option to exclude you from the rest of the event, and there can be no exceptions.

I'm sure you will all understand the reasons for this, and drive accordingly.

*** PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY ***

As this is a full event, please ensure that you arrive at Knockhill in plenty of time, and no later than 17:15 pm. This will allow us to get everyone signed on and processed in plenty of time for the drivers briefing.
Remember, all drivers of your car must attend the briefing and be issued with a wrist band.

**** WHEELS AROUND ****

Wheels Around will be there for the evening, and will have the following services available for you:

Free swapping of wheels (if you have a spare set for track use).

Free checking/adjusting of tyre pressures with a very accurate gauge.

Free storage of spare wheels, and other bits and pieces you don't want to lug around the track with you. Just remember to collect again afterwards!!

Hire of slicks mounted on Subaru (and other) wheels (16, 17 and possibly
18 inch available)

Hire of slicks to be mounted onto your own wheels (many sizes available)

Sale of part worn slicks (various sizes available, free fitting) Sale of brand new slicks (any make/model/size/compound available) Sale of brand new road tyres (ideal if you are finishing off your current set on
track!) They have superb deals on Yokohama and Toyo tyres at the moment.

Remember - fitting and expert balancing is free!

Sale of new Speedline alloys, at very good prices (amazing package deals if you buy tyres at the same time)

They can also help you with the fitting of brake pads etc (you must
supply) if you run out during the session, though there will be a small charge for this service.

If you want to hire wheels/tyres, then you must pre-book, and remember its first come first served!

If you want to buy wheels and/or tyres, then again you are strongly advised to pre-book so they have enough of the correct size in stock of the tyre you want.

The guys are extremely busy in the 90 minutes prior to the event starting, and the 60 minutes after an event, so if you have booked wheels/tyres, please make sure you are there in plenty of time.

Ronnie from Wheels Around can be contacted on 07711 577148 (Any time!) for ordering etc.

See you all there around mid day.

Cheers
