Tut and the gang,

May I repeat the many thanks for organising a superb weekend. It was great to meet you all, and both of us felt very welcome. Our first time at Knockhill, and we were both taken out on some reccie laps of the track after having a casual conversation with one of the Marshalls on Friday night! Superb circuit, and as said, very addictive. Camped at the circuit for three nights, didn't get sunburned - but did look like I had chickenpox as I had been midge bitten so many times!

Loved the racing and the company - definately worth coming up from London for. Looking forward to maybe doing the 'Tut weekend' next year.

Cheers,

Clive.

Clive,

Always good to have people from far flung places along, continuing to prove you don't have to be Scottish to come and have fun with Scottish Elises :-)

Well done on the camping too. As a local, I've been visiting KH for 10 years now and only just discovered they have a shower block for the camping sorts!!

:damnfunny He actually told me he will log on to SE, so he will be able to answer that question

I'm afraid not at the moment :( I am going to do a short Stelvio this year as I need to go to visit some car manufacturer in Maranello ;) the week before. A small group will probably do the 60th celeb of Lotus on the 14th or Sept, but I think it's a wee bit too much asked to quickly drive up to the higlands and then get back again :)

Campbell,

What shower block? Seriously, please let me know where it is, 'cause I didn't find it (no smelly comments please).

Continuing on the camping front, this trip proved that you can get two people and all the camping gear into an S1 Exige - which is handy as I'll be repeating this excercise for Classic Le Mans next month.

You're right, you don't have to be Scottish to have fun with SE - you're much friendlier than the southern softies.

Cheers,

Clive.

The toilet block right next to the SE Collective Parking Zone (adjacent to the Manifold / SE Clothing stand!) had a couple of showers in it :-)

If the nick of those toilets was anything to go by, you would have come out smellier than when you went in

hey, as a some-time camper, any shower is better than no shower at all IMHO :-)

There must be some mileage in that comment - can't be long until the 'edits' start

I am interested in the ratio of number of cars v 2 hours track time for Friday night.

Did anybody have to wait more than a minute or so at the lights before getting on track?

tut

ps Anybody else in skin falling off the face mode today? I was there all day Saturday without a cloud in the sky, so probably got more sun than most.

My skin seems to be coming off my nose, but great weekend and my first track day was fantastic with the bonus that my car is still in one bit, well apart from the wing mirror, smashed number plate and possiable 3point and £60 fine heading through my letter box :(
