1999 111S, whats it worth?

Post by c5tto » Wed Sep 17, 2008 6:51 pm

Thinkin of selling my Elise 111S, due to never using it, seems a waste. how much is a 1999 111S worth now, its a clean car with 42k, has hardtop aswell. no idea what to price it at, mot has expired so will be getting a new mot put on before i sell.

We went to look at a tidy 99 111s not to long ago, guy was asking £9500 said he was leaving the country and called me back to say he would except £8500 . It had low miles but he only wanted to meet you in a car park , not right , walked away. Hope that helps. Ian

Depending on how quickly you want to sell (or how serious you are), I'd advertise it at £8995 with hard-top, and state you'll sell for £8495 without.... any higher may struggle to generate interest in the current climate I'd say. There are loads out there at a higher price, so if you are in no hurry & don't mind blending in with the rest of them... then you could try marketing a grand higher.

thats what i was thinkin, i was thinking about advertising it for no offers, but putting it on for £8000 OR £7500 without mot, im just thinking about it just now though. are s1 elises still selling ok, i never use it, only done about 1500 mile in over 2 years so its a waste, and when i bought it i planned to track it a few times, 3.5 years later i have never done it so maybe time to move on.

Sell it with new MOT.

You have got to spend the money & get the MOT done.

It's a great selling tool.
"It's just passed it's MOT, what can be wrong with it .............."

If it's got no MOT, theres a reason why it not got one (from a buyers perspective)

my 2p's worth.

David

PS - Give it a good Autoglym'ing & it will look lovely.
Two negatives make a positive but only in Scotland do two positives make a negative - 'Aye right.'

For the right money it will sell no problem, but don't be overly ambitious on price, or be prepared to wait a while!
