Clio V6

No, not another one of my famous threads about buying one but my mate just has today.

Went for a spin. I was really impressed actually.
Not as quick as the Elise but the power was very linear.

Noise was fantastic. imo nicer sounding than mine

Did he buy the one that was for sale in Glasgow or did he go down south?

Bro is getting one end of summer, bang for buck (and rare factor) not much else like it.

I had a 172 for a few years. At the time I was Renaultsport mad, and read just about every article on the things. For my money, I would stick to the 172/182 - especially the trophy model. They say the 172s were just as quick round a track as the s1 V6, but do have a little more practicallity. Lets face it, if you are going to get a 2 seater, you dont want something that looks like a clio. The 172 had the added bonus that you can scare more of your friends at a time

Having said all that, the V6 does look & sound great!

Yup - was a PTW issue. Not particulaly light (ITRO 1300kg, I think) and not a huge power output for such a big engine.

Shame, as it looked suitably bonkers and (the Mk1) had the R5 Turbo 2 suicide handling traits to make it a true legend if they'd gone the whole hog...

At EF the V6 couldn't get away from the 182's.
