Fat feet & legs are something I don't have forunately.
As for the cockpit - I prefer the term "interference fit"

Re: Tomorrow
Car burbled into life this morning without any throttle, and gently idled whilst I scraped the frost off the glass and an uneventful drive to work without the need of left foot braking at roundabouts.
Thanks Mac, seems to have done the trick.

Re: Tomorrow
I really enjoyed having a wee play with the emerald software - it's not an area where I'm strong but is somewhere that I would like to expand my understanding.
Was a good night, fitting IMHO.

Re: Tomorrow
How did you two get on after I left? Any joy with the air temp sensor and the emerald connection?
Arriving broadside, in a cloud of smoke......

Embarrassingly, I've only just twigged. Has it really been a year...mac wrote:I really enjoyed having a wee play with the emerald software - it's not an area where I'm strong but is somewhere that I would like to expand my understanding.

I'll be raising a wee JD too, when I get back from work...

Re: Tomorrow
Tried on Mandy's laptop too but still couldn't pick up the maps from the ecu -so loaded it on to the software from disc and check the live stuff.steve_weegie wrote:How did you two get on after I left? Any joy with the air temp sensor and the emerald connection?
Re-calibrated the TPS and reset the pot number where it recognises idle. This helped a bit but the IACV was still de-activated, sorted that and it made difference.
Wouldn't mind some more time with it to see if it can't be refined a bit more......

Re: Tomorrow
Give me some warning as I can come up with the laptop that has definitely worked before (I have a backup of his map) and I've played about with the software for years now

And where's the fun in that for me
I'm enjoying the "ok, so that didn't work" phase - more so on someone elses car

Cheers David,
It's Paul's car and he's got a copy on a different laptop - which I'm sure he'll bring the next time
