Zippy's was actually first. No explanation why, but Scuffers is 'keen' to point out (on a regular basis) that it was a DIY kit install and not a MSC car. :?

Yup - and they did. From what I hear, all he did was sweep it up into a bucket afterwards (the chassis went up too!) :shock:

I know there was at least one catalyst fire that resulted in a total write off - I am sure there will have been others.

Steve Butts was the best known, which completely burnt out several years ago.

I had the photo, but must have been one of the ones that I lost.
