Indeedy - given past experience, it's not usually more than 3 or 4 folks that end up making the trip as a group.

However - worth checking availability on a place like that - could find it's booked years in advance in June.

Sounded like a well-organised trip.
I think Paul said he wasn't going to run it again as it was probably negative profit in the end, but Walshy talked about doing one.

LoT bought a stack of places from another organiser (1st tickets), so we were in an enclosure that was not LoT exclusive, but has LoT, SELCOCK, MX5OC ( :? ), some Aston owners etc. Enclosure was a corner of Bleu Nord, fenced off with big security fence stuff. Inside was a marquee with big TV and a bar (a coolbox basically), and private portacabin stylee showers and bogs. Our cars were inside the fencing and LoT had a corner with our own LoT marquee for about 20 folks. The whole enclosure was not organised by LoT, but I think even without that, the trackdays and food and everything that LoT did organise was enough to put them off doing it again. Hard work.

The enclosure bit was organised by 1st tickets. All their places were filled by pistonheads this year. http://www.1st-tickets.co.uk/ph/enquiriesph.html

After last year, the plan for "next time" was to ditch 1st tickets in future, but to replicate their setup (fenced off enclosure, bogs, marquee etc) then fill up the places as a Car Limits trip, so probably drawing on a number of forums and clubs including SE. 1st tickets did a good job, but got a bit narky with our bad behaviour at times (razzing around on mini-motos, permanently pissed, brining our own beer to the bar-tent etc.) so Walshy was a bit <slurred Welsh>Screw you, we'll do it ourselves next time!</slurred Welsh>.

great stuff guys, that's really encouraging!

I hear what you're saying Mac about not being able to commit too soon - but I'm the other way around thesedays .. If I've not bought and paid for something and have the diary blocked out in advance.. I've not a hope of Dr R telling me it can be cancelled!

I'll email Welshy ;) and see what he's got planned for 2010 - there's a lot to be said for letting a professional (!) do all the leg work

Better from this angle - actually more impressive is the flagpole, had red flashing light on it as we were next to the airport.

Yeah, we saw plenty racing, but we were there for 5 days so there was lots of time to chill, drink, explore, drink, walk the pit lane and paddocks, drink, watch practice, drink, collect freebies, drink, drive a bit of the circuit (on the way back from buying vodka at the local 'Ed' supermarket), drink, watch the burnouts on Mad Friday, drink, watch some racing, drink, watch some more racing, drink, set up a course and have a mini-moto time-trial, drink, make the tallest flag, drink, fix the flag, drink, rebuild the beer mountain for the 100th time, drink, soak up the sun, drink, catch a few hours' kip, drink, have another burger, drink...

You get the idea!
