The best quote i have at the moment for a 4 bed house in lanarkshire is from M&S.
Before I buy does anyone know of a better provider?

Have you tried the Halifax. Maybe not the cheapest but have a very good level of cover as you have a large house. I think its unlimited .

Directline were the cheapest for me for the level of cover I require .

Try the AA. In all seriousness they were about 1/3 of the price of all the other quotes I got when I moved here and that was for their Unlimited policy and for what might be described as a 'big house'.

I was with Cornhill Direct who were very competitive but managed to get Carole Nash (My Bike Insurance Brokers) to see if they could beat Cornhill's renewal quote. I managed to get Buildings and contents insurance for a 3 bedroom house in Lanarkshire for £117 !!!!! with Equity Red Star. Would be interested if anybody can beat that.

Egg were cheapest for us, about £30 a month for buildings and contents for a 4 bed house.

Try Zurich. I halved my insurance online with them...
