Ive used mine a few times without too much hassle at all, we used it to navigate around manchester where I had no idea where we were going at all and was brilliant. And when using it to find postcodes that I had no idea where they were it usually gets me exactly to the correct point.
I guess occasionally it doesnt quite pick up your exact location, ie. it may have just to the side of a road not on it, but Ive never found it to be so far out that you cant use it to navigate correctly.

Use the google maps app almost everyday :thumbsup

Used as a map/planning you really cant beat it but if its Sat- Nav you need, the tom tom app is highly recommend. Not cheap at £60ish mind you

Used it to find a curry house in the car and worked a treat

Use it cycling with mapmyride and again it works fine for "bread-crumb" mapping
