Surprised that an aussie actor who races GT3 on the side only beat a chef by 0.2 of a second

No matter how stupid the antics get on most of the driving tours, the cars and scenery are more than enough to compensate.
Did laugh at the 'sleeping in the cars' bit. The state of the cars inside after all the dust

Yup, I enjoyed it a lot.
The Romanian mountain pass certainly gives Stelvio something to think about! When can we go?!
As has been said, the copter footage was tremendous...what a mental job that must be.

Suprised no one else mentioned how dull the merc vs. beemer bit was
'Twas a good show, I'm still firmly in the "i'd like a car geek show, not an entertainment show with cars" camp though.
It's becoming increasingly annoying when Clarkson says anything about a geek fact then states he doesn't care. I watched Top Gear before it become 'cool' he's a huge car geek...

It was ok but still a bit staged especially the sitting on the portable toilet bit and the Hamster saying "I bet you didn't think that would happen" as Clarkston squashed the cardboard box.
Saw it coming a mile off.

Can anyone explain why James May was not wearing a seatbelt whilst being driven by the Stig? Surely not a good advert for
safety somehow.....surprised to see it. Otherwise a cracking start to a great series hopefully.

I assumed that was so we could see him comically being thrown about the car and injuring himself.
