Shindig was awesome but it's not there any more.

Riverside? Scott and Scooby? I remember going to a party one night after Shindig and found out the next morning I was in Peterlee!

Shindig is still open but only on selected nights of the month. Scott didnt like how polished Digital was and the fact Digital were forcing them to have big names every week. They wanted to keep it more dark and dirty and new venue is certainly that. Its on at WHQ in Newcastle on random nights so you need to keep an eye open for listings.

Re food, depends what you want to spend. Stowel street for the chinese food is nice.

We always go to Bangkok Cafe across from O2 Academy as food is amazingly nice but also cheap.
