Got a new Iphone4 .... adding contacts help....

Post by a4drk » Sat Jan 22, 2011 2:59 pm

I've just got a new Iphone 4
My old phone is a Sony Ericson C905

How do i transfer my 250 contacts that are on my SIM card ?
The iphone4 uses a micro SIM card, so i cant just put the sim card in

On the Sony, I went into Contacts & tried to Bluetooth the whole lot, but it doesnt find the Sony phone

Is there a way to do this other than manually type them in?

help

David
PS - Can you get a Micro SIM adapter & i could put the new sim card into the old phone & copy the contacts from the phone memory to new sim??

Easiest option I found was to use your old phones USB cable to export the contacts onto your computer, import into gmail and then synch your phone with gmail contacts.

Thanks guys
I went into the O2 shop at Ocean Terminal
They gave me a micro sim adapter FOC

I think the easiest way is to copy the sim contacts to the Sony phone memory & then transfer to micro sim using the adapter

thanks for your help

Cheers

Did you use the "Import SIM contacts" option in the contact settings?

You can ask the "Guru" in the O2 shop to do it for you
They are there for customers with special needs :D

The Guru in the o2 shop in Ocean Terminal told me to phone 202 & speak to an advisor !
To be fair, she was a Trainee & hadnt a clue.
Still, wrong answer to give someone.

All sorted now - just going thro the App Store downloading things

cheers
